What is digital Photography?

Digital Photography is a lot like film photography except for the way the camera captures the image. In a film camera light comes in through a aperture, travels through a lens and exposes the film to light. The chemical crystals on the film are exposed to the light and the image transfers onto the film. With a digital camera, the light enters the camera and moves through the lens in the same way. Instead of the image landing on film it lands on a "sensor pad" which translates the light into digital information.
